The LIBRARY will be closed AFTER SCHOOL--TODAY,Apr.23rd and Thurs.,Apr.24th.
REGISTRATION for SUMMER DRIVER EDUCATION will begin on Mon.,May 5th. Applications will be accepted through Fri.,May 30th. Space is limited and all classes will be filled on a first come-first served basis. Applications can be found on the SCHOOL's WEBSITE or in the MAIN OFFICE.
HIGH SCHOOL HEROES
HIGH SCHOOL HEROES is back!!! There will be a brief but MANDATORY MEETING for any student who has signed up for the 2014 HIGH SCHOOL HEROES PROGRAM on Wed.,Apr.23rd in Room A107 immediately after school. Any students who are interested in the HIGH SCHOOL HEROES PROGRAM but who have not signed up are welcome to attend. Please see Mr.Elsesser with any questions.
MANDATORY MEETING FOR ALL JUNIORS AND PARENTS: Safe Driving Assembly on Thurs.,May 8th at 6:30pm in the HS WEST auditorium. However, if you are not able to attend this assembly, students are welcome to attend the assembly for HS EAST which is given on Tues.,April 29th at 6:30pm in the auditorium at Nesaquake MS. Students are required to attend one of these assemblies along with a parent/guardian.
REMINDER:SENIOR PICTURES are Tues.,April 22nd through Friday,April 25th in E cafeteria according to your assigned day and time by Lifetouch.

JUNIORS:The SUFFOLK COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT has a summer program from July 14 through July 18th at the Suffolk Community College--Brentwood Campus. Applications are due by May 16th---come to Guidance for an application.
SENIORS: The SMITHTOWN COLLEGE AID application is available in the guidance Office. Deadline is May 2nd.

With your help, Smithtown High School West will have the opportunity to earn cash through Stop & Shop A+ School Rewards Program:
All you have to do is:
1. E-Mail to Marie Mattera your complete Stop & Shop number located on your Stop & Shop card.(include the last digit)
2. Log on to www.stopandshop.com/aplus to register online.(go to Customer Zone)
3. Dial 1-877-275-2758 to register your card over the phone.
After you register your card, each shopping trip at Stop & Shop using your Stop & Shop Card earns CASH for our school! Each month, the amount of CASH awarded will be updated on the Stop & Shop website. You can track the amount of points you earn for our school by checking your grocery receipt and online when you create an account at www.stopandshop.com.Our school will receive a check at the end of the program. The money can be used for any of our school's educational needs.
Remember, even if you registered your card last year, YOU MUST RE-REGISTER this year for our school to receive credit. Attending to this simple process makes a HUGE difference to our school.
